Along with the proprietary lower receiver, the kit includes a specialized bolt carrier, allowing you to install your favorite ar-15 bolt & bolt carrier components. The scr accepts standard ar-15 upper receiver parts (except for the bolt carrier). Simply mate the scr lower to your favorite upper receiver, then only extra items needed to complete a rifle are a new bolt & bolt carrier components (cam pin, firing pin & firing pin retaining pin) and a charging handle.
