Brownells Barrel Liner Drills .38 40 Liner .593" (15.1mm) Drill Size Specification Information
USD 128.99
(Indicative price - actual current price possibly lower)
Brownells Gunsmith Power Drill Bits Specification Info
Specification information: For the gunsmith who does not want to make his own drill extension, our hi-speed steel drills are designed especially for deep hole drilling for brownell barrel liners. The hole for the liner must be drilled slightly more than halfway from each end, and the only way to ensure proper joining when using a hand drill is to use these piloted drills. Special, helix angle eliminates the tendency for the drill to "pull" itself into the material and jam, saving time and headaches. The extra cost for this premium quality drill is far cheaper than ruining a customer's gun with an off-center hole. Given proper care, will last a lifetime. Mfg: brownells specs: hi-speed steel. 15" (38.1cm) oal. Handles barrels up to 25" (63.5cm) length maximum. Pilot length: 1" (2.5cm). Pilot diameter: .22, .216" (5.5mm); .25-20, .247" (6.8mm); .38-40, .391" (9.9mm); .44-40, .419" (10.6mm). Reliable & durable gunsmith power drill bits by Brownells. Manufacturer MPN: 361-000-002.

Brownells Carbide Center Drill #4 Carbide Center Drill 1/8" Specification Information
USD 72.99
(Indicative price - actual current price possibly lower)
Brownells Gunsmith Power Drill Bits Specification Info
Specification information: If none of the common methods for removing a frozen screw work, and drilling is in order, these carbide center drills should be used to center and "start" the hole. With the spindle at fairly high speed, bring the center drill down to the screw head and adjust position until centered in the screw. Apply pressure and cut until center hole is deep enough to allow the proper undersized, regular drill bit to start cutting without catching on the screw head slot. Better for drilling broken taps too, for they will cut center holes in even the hardest ones. And, because of the large body mass of the tool relative to the small drill diameter, it is very sturdy and rigid. Mfg: brownells specs: #1, .125 body/.0468 drill; #2, .187 body/.0781 drill; #3, .250 body/.1093 drill; #4, .312 body/.1250 drill. Reliable & durable gunsmith power drill bits by Brownells. Manufacturer MPN: 40212500.
