Specification information: This brainchild of bill ruger hails from the enduring designs of john c. Garand, and is one of the most popular utility rifles ever produced in the usa. Now you can upgrade yours to a scout format that will accept the latest technology available in modern sight systems, lasers, tactical flashlights, etc. The original mini-scout-mount14 fits every serial number range manufactured prior to 2007 (before the 580 series), including ranch rifles and ac556. These are flat black . The mini-scout-mountiii will fit all three caliber versions of the 580 and up series (.223, 6.8spc, and 7.62x39) with the heavier "flanged" barrel. Specification information: This mount from amega ranges is designed to give your sporterized mosin nagant a forward optic mount. The mini-scout_mount is designed to slip over the rear sight on your mosin and uses a barrel band to secure the mount to your rifle. For use with aftermarket synthetic stocks, some inletting will be required. The picatinny style base on the top of the mount body will accommodate all of the popular red-dot and holo-sights, as well as scout scopes or pistol scopes that use weaver style rings or clamps.
